HB 1270. The Virginia Consumer Protection Act goes into effect on July 1st, 2024, and requires professional motor mediators to have certification from the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration certification, the ICRC. This means that it is illegal to sell or offer mold remediation services for residential dwellings without the certification.
